Terms of Use

Who we are

Step2Med is a trading name of Step2Med Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 10863260, registered office 12 Bellflower Road, LE5 1TS. You can contact us at hello@step2med.co.uk. These terms apply to the website step2med.co.uk and to everything we sell through it.

What we provide

We provide application support for people applying to medical school and for doctors applying to training posts. Depending on what you buy, that may include live online courses, recordings, video libraries, one to one sessions, mock interviews, written feedback on application answers, and support packages. Free guides and the information pages on this site are provided for general information.

What we do not promise

We help you prepare. We do not and cannot guarantee any outcome: no offer, interview, score, ranking or place is promised or implied by anything we sell. Application processes are run by universities, UCAS, the UKFPO, NHS England and other bodies, and they change, sometimes at short notice. We keep our information current and correct errors when we find them, but you remain responsible for checking official guidance and meeting official deadlines.

Buying from us

Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Payment is taken at checkout through our payment provider; we do not see or store your card details. After you buy a live service such as a session, a mock interview or a written review, we contact you by email to arrange delivery. Some products are limited in number and are sold first come, first served.

Cancellations and refunds

For live services such as sessions, mock interviews and written reviews: you may cancel for a full refund at any time before the service has been delivered or a review of your work has begun. Once a session has taken place or a review has been written, it cannot be refunded. If you need to rearrange a booked session, tell us as early as you can and we will do our best to accommodate it; a session missed without notice counts as delivered.

For recordings and video libraries: you may cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, unless you have already accessed the content. By accessing the content within the 14 day period you agree that your right to cancel ends.

For live courses: you may cancel for a full refund up to [7] days before the course date. After that, we will offer you the recording in place of your seat.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Your materials and ours

Everything we provide, including course materials, videos, recordings, questions and written feedback, is for your personal use only. You may not share, resell, publish, record or redistribute it, and access to recordings and video libraries is for the named purchaser alone. Anything you send us for review remains yours; we use it only to provide the service you bought.

Fair use and conduct

We may suspend access, without refund, for sharing paid content, for abusive behaviour towards our team, or for attempting to use our services dishonestly, for example by asking us to write application answers to submit as your own. Our feedback and teaching are there to improve your own work.

Bursary scheme

Our bursary scheme is discretionary. Awards are decided case by case, the scheme may change or close in any year, and a bursary application is not a purchase and creates no entitlement.

Liability

We are not liable for losses that do not result from our breach of these terms, or for the outcome of any application. Where we are liable, our total liability in connection with a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

General

We may update these terms; the version on this page at the time of your purchase is the one that applies to it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
